Special Project For

Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership

Head Start Program (Kids 3 - 5 years old)

We have been asked if we could support the OWCAP Head Start Program by making ~600 blankets for the kids to use on their cots for nap time or relaxing time.

I knew because of your generous support in the past that we could definitely make this happen!  So I said YES!!!

Requirements:

©     100% polyester / non-pill fleece

©     3 to 5 year old kid friendly patterned fleece – no plain colors, please

©     Crocheted on the edges – kids tend to chew on the ties

©     36” x 48” minimum to 44” x 52” maximum – they need to fit on the cots

Please call or text Karen at (801)540-6123 if:

©     You have material to donate

©     You would like to learn to crochet around fleece blankets

©     You would like to donate money for the Chapter to purchase fleece for this project

The blankets all need to be turned in at a drop off place no later than         18 Aug 21 to allow time to label the blankets and get them to the Head Start Program by Fall.

If you have any questions, call or text Karen at (801)540-6123.

There is still a few days left if you are interested in buying a t-shirt. National Headquarters usually does this about once a year...

It is time again to order Project Linus T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets. This is a pre-order and it starts March 15th and runs through March 29th, with deliveries the week of April 19th.

Please note this is through a company called Western Associates. This is not our PL store on our website. They are wonderful and we have used them for several years now. Great quality products! There is a new jacket in there, you need to click on the sweatshirt on the page to go to the jacket.

We are excited to announce that My Heritage Fabrics is now a drop off location for Project Linus.

They have great fabric choices and are one of the few stores in Northern Utah to carry the Kaffe fabric lines. My heritage fabrics also offers a variety of classes.
